Yes - and SUSYCHECK actually helps you solve that problem. You can invite your suppliers directly into SUSYCHECK via a simple link. They add and maintain packaging information and evidence themselves in the supplier portal, without needing any training or software. This way you collect complete, reliable data from the source while saving your team from chasing spreadsheets.

Yes - this is one of the most common cases. Intermediaries sit between their suppliers and their own customers, and those customers need packaging data to issue their own Declarations of Conformity. SUSYCHECK collects the material data from your suppliers, keeps it structured per packaging, and turns it into the technical data sheet you send downstream. Instead of chasing values across supplier emails for every customer request, you forward one document with a traceable data basis.

Usually not. If your customer has the packaging designed or made under its own name or trademark, it is the manufacturer under Art. 3(13) PPWR and issues the EU Declaration of Conformity under Art. 39 itself. That applies to brand owners just as much as to retailers with their private labels. You are the supplier under Art. 3(16) and owe the data and evidence that declaration rests on: material build-up, weights, components, information on substances of concern under Art. 5, recyclability and recycled-content shares. The right handover document is the packaging data sheet, not a Declaration of Conformity of your own. Many companies hold both roles at once: manufacturer for their own brands, supplier for their customers' private labels. The same packaging data carries both.

Yes. The usual route stays the packaging data sheet - your customer is the manufacturer under Art. 3(13) and issues its Declaration of Conformity itself. The Declaration of Conformity is the formal statement you issue for the packaging you place on the market. The technical data sheet is the underlying packaging data, summarised in one PDF: basic data, packaging structure, components and materials, PFAS and heavy metal information, compliance details, certificates from notified bodies, and attached drawings or specifications. Its purpose is to supply your customers with the figures they need to issue their own Declaration of Conformity - so you send one document instead of answering individual data requests.

The same holds one step further along: whatever your customer forwards to its own customers, nobody has to retype. When a packaging changes, the export and the API response follow automatically.

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, EU 2025/40) applies to all companies that place packaged products on the EU market. This includes manufacturers, importers, and distributors. The regulation has been in full application since 12 August 2026, with further escalation levels in 2030 and 2035.

We treat your packaging data confidentially and protect it with technical and organisational measures. The application and database are hosted in the EU. For AI-supported features, we currently use LLM providers headquartered in the US; processing is governed by data processing agreements with Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR, and your inputs are not used by the provider to train its models. We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

Yes. SUSYCHECK generates country-specific Declarations of Conformity (DoC) that meet the requirements of Annex VII and VIII. You can generate DoCs for all relevant EU member states with a single click.

Both are generated in all 24 official EU languages - from Bulgarian and German through Maltese and Irish to Swedish. You pick the language at download, so each customer, authority or subsidiary receives the document in the language they need, without a translation round.

SUSYCHECK currently supports multiple European languages including German and English, with the interface fully localized for each. Additional languages are available on demand - so your international teams and suppliers can work in the language they're most comfortable with.

Under PPWR, the economic operator responsible under the regulation - in particular the producer, importer or manufacturer - placing the product on the market is responsible for the conformity of the packaging system - including data that originates from suppliers. In practice that means you own the evidence chain. SUSYCHECK builds it for you: packaging data and supplier declarations are structured into a complete, traceable compliance chain, so responsibility comes with the documentation to back it up.
